Metro: the Hideaway is conveniently situated on several lines. The closest stop (Saint-Ambroise, line 9) is practically at the doorway of the apartment, and just five minutes away other stops are found: Oberkampf (lines 5 and 9), Parmentier (line 3), Republique (lines 3, 5, 8, 9, 11) and Filles du Calvaire (line 8).
Bus: Three bus lines pass nearby (46, 56, 69, and 96) which can take you in every direction while comfortably touring the city.
The abundance of metro and bus lines means that other popular sites, such as the Eiffel Tower, Invalides, etc, are just a short ride away.
Velib: It stands for "vélo liberté", the innovative Parisian system of public bicycles. The system is managed electronically, with hundreds of bicycle depots posted across Paris. Two Velib stations are within 100 m of the Hideaway.
